E17 on Ubuntu

There are two method to get E17 on Ubuntu :

• From the Elbuntu repository. Installation is done trough the packet manager, and update will be provided on a weekly basis. However, not all programs of E17 SVN are available, but the virtual packages : e17/enlightenment, emodules-all, enlightenment-themes should cover all your needs. This is the easiest and quickest method.
  
  To use this method, please follow instruction on Elbuntu.org - E17 on Ubuntu 7.10

• By compiling yourself E17, by hand or with a script. Thus you will always have the latest version of E17, but you have to manage yourself updates and occasional bugs when building E17. This takes a lot more time/knowledge than the previous method.

Please note that these methods are not compatible, so choose one and stick with it.
