E17 User Guide/iBar

This module is an animated application launcher bar

When configuring the IBar Module you will see a screen similar to this:

• Selected Bar Source
  • Here you can select a source for this ibar to use for icons.
  • This allows you to have several ibars running, each with a different source of icons. (ie: one for games, one for terminals, one for word processing)

• Show Icon Labels
  • When checked this option will display a label under the icon when the mouse is over it.
  • Several choices are provided to allow you to select what label is shown.

When your IBar shows up in your Shelf, you have several further configuration tweaks available:

• Left-Click on your any item in your IBar to display the following:
  • Change Icon Properties; to select a new icon by yourself for your launcher,
  • Remove Icon; to remove this launcher only,
  • Configuration; which brings you back to the same menu as when creating it,
  • Add Application; self-exoplanatory, to add a launcher thanks to the included app browser

Note: apps can be dragged & dropped from the main menu to the IBar

• Below these items, you'll find the classic E17 configuration options,
  • Appearance, with a switcher from Plain to Inserted mode,
  • Automatically scroll contents; usefull if you reduced the size of the gadget but still want direct access to a lot of apps,
  • Able to be resized; needs to be ticked for the above to take effect,
  • Begin MoveResize this Gadget; which does as stated, if "Able to be resized" is ticked, then two handles appear on each side of the module, allowing you to resize it. To move, simply click'n'hold then drag. When happy, right-click again and select "stop moving/resizing this gadget" to make your new setting permanent.
  • Remove this Gadget will do, well, just that.
  • And, lastly, the Shelf sub-menu which drives you to this shelf global settings.
