E17 User Guide/Changing the wallpaper

Everything wallpaper-wise in Enlightenment is to be found, easily, in your Main Menu > Configuration > Wallpaper

The repository folder for wallpapers as used by Enlightenment is in ~/.e/e/backgrounds; that is where the import feature of the wallpaper configurator will save your image in .edj form to use it as a background decoration. That is an automated process, there is nothing to do on the end-user part when selecting a .png or .jpg file as background for E. This is just for you to know where they are sourced from by E, since E doesn't deal straight with other formats than .edj when it comes to decoration.

Don't forget you can get on-line background images from within the wallpaper configuration menu (click "online"), & that you can define different wallapapers for each of your virtual desktops (go "advanced")!
