E17 Theme Group Locations

Used groups

A comprehensive list of locations of theme groups and their use. Items with a * at the end is used as a collective for the widget and all parts contained in that widget.

The examples used are just brief and most widgets are used in more than 1 place. Some good examples for previewing a theme, try the Wallpaper selector and go through all the options and buttons.

e/fileman/* - The Enlightenment File Manager.

e/fileman/default/list/* - Used in the file selector in Wallpaper and Theme selector dialogs.

e/widgets/winlist/* - The Window List widget that pops up with you press Alt-Tab (by default).

e/transpreview/* - The fake backgrounds used in the Transitions configuration dialog.

e/transitions/* - The transitions when swapping desks. Controlled with the Transitions configuration dialog.

e/toolbar/* - Used for the E File Manager toolbar.

e/theme/about - Used for the 'Theme' widget from the E enlightenment menu.

e/widgets/textblock - Used in the description of modules in the Module Configuration dialog.

e/widgets/spectrum - Used in the color selector widget in the Wallpaper gradient color selector.

e/widgets/slider* - Used in the Wallpaper picture file quality widget. Also in the Virtual Desktops configuration dialog.

e/shelf/***/* - The E shelf. Some call it a panel. *** is either 'default, alternate, invisible'. It also included the inset background.

e/widgets/scrollframe - Used in the configuration panel to allow scrolling. Also provides the background of the whole widget. (This includes the blank space under items like in the Menus sub-section).

e/widgets/radio - Used in the Wallpaper selector for 'Personal' and 'System' chooser.

e/widgets/preview - Used in the Theme selector to preview themes.

e/pointer/* - The Enlightenment mouse cursor.

e/modules/pager/desk - The desktop representations in the pager module.

e/modules/pager/window - The fake windows that appear in the pager module.

e/modules/pager/popup - The popup when switching desktops.

e/widgets/border/default/resize - The popup when resizing a window.

e/widgets/border/default/move - The popup when moving a window.

e/widgets/menu/* - The E menu.

e/widgets/ilist/* - Used in the Configuration Panel. A better example with headers is in the Modules select and details dialog.

e/icons/* - Sets the icons used internally by E17.

e/icons/fileman/* - Icons used by E File manager for MIME types

e/modules/ibox - Used to control various actions the iBar application launcher does.

e/modules/ibar - Used to control various actions the iBar application launcher does.

e/gadman/control - Used to show handles when resizing gadgets.

e/gadman/popup - Used for popup windows created by different gadgets. Eg. Weather module.

e/gadman/full_bg - Used to display the background when WIN+G is activated.

e/gadman/frame - The overlay presented when moving or resizing gadgets.

e/widgets/frame - Used to outline the ilists in the configuration panel. Another example is the framed groups of checks and radios in the Screen > Virtual Desktops widget.

e/widgets/fontpreview - Used to preview the text in the Fonts configuration module.

e/widgets/exebuf/* - The application launcher widget available via Alt-F2 (by default).

e/widgets/entry/* - Used on the file properties and location text entry boxes on the Wallpaper Picture file selector.

e/widgets/dialog/* - Used on dialogs such as the Wallpaper selector. Also used when a program quits unexpectedly or when deleting a file with EFM.

e/widgets/deskpreview - Used to preview the desktop on the Wallpaper selector.

e/widgets/cslider - Used to display R G B H S V values in color selectors, used when you choose to change a gradient color in the Wallpaper Gradient selector and in the Color configuration color selector.

e/widgets/configure - Used to display the background in the Configure Panel. Not used for the actual contents. eg. Lists and Button.

e/widgets/color_well - Used to display the color 1 & 2 options in the Wallpaper Gradient selector.

e/widgets/gradpreview - Used to display the gradient created by color 1 & 2 in the Wallpaper Gradient selector.

e/widgets/check - The check boxes like 'Use theme wallpaper' in the Wallpaper selector widget.

e/widgets/button - Used for generic buttons, like the ones on Wallpaper selector widget and various other configuration widgets.

e/widgets/border/***/border - Used for the E17 window borders, where *** is either default, shaped, noresize, dialog, noreszie_dialog, pixel, borderless.

e/widgets/about/* - Used for the 'About' widget from the E enlightenment menu.

e/desktop/background - Used on the desktop background.

e/desklock/* - Used on the 'Lock Screen' widget from the E system menu.

e/sys/* - Used for the 'Suspend, Hibernate, Reboot, Shut down, Logout' widgets in the E system menu that pop up briefly on exit.

Redundant parts

e/error - Not used.

e/widgets/fileselector - Not used.

e/widgets/slidesel - Unsure / Not used.

e/wizard/* - Used by the First Run wizard. Wizard should not be used and generally will only use the default theme since it will only run before anything is setup.
